KADC DirectorNana Atuashvili joined World Vision International in 2004. Her work has always been dedicated to children and youth development. In 1999 she started working at Telavi municipality youth department as a volunteer. In 2001 she became a founder of the youth organization. The first youth centre in Telavi, focused on providing non-formal education to children, was set up with her direct participation. In 2002 she became a member of a social policy group at NGO “Horizonti” which was advocating social concerns. In 2004 Nana started work at World Vision International as a leader social worker and a small group home supervisor and she was in charge of supervising and management of this home and working with aged 14-18 youths in state care. In 2008 she participated in the process of supporting the child wellbeing reform in the country aiming to child protection and empowerment of vulnerable families and youths in state care.
In 2008 she started work on the position of a community mobilizer at World Vision International Kakheti Area Development Program (KADP).
In 2012 she became World Vision International KADP manager. At the same time, she is a director of Kakheti Area Development Centre.
Nana Atuashvili received a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy at Telavi I.Gogebashvili State University in 1993. In 2006-2007 she attended a certified course of social worker. She took a Master’s degree at Telavi State University.
Nana has a big experience of working for youth development. Her practical and theoretical knowledge, accumulated for years, enables her to think that her work can have positive impact on other people’s and her own life as well.
